Vancouver Girls in Gaming & Industry Camp

Adamas Esports, Electronic Arts & Logitech have teamed up to present a special two-day esports industry event geared toward the education and promotion of opportunities for girls in gaming.

Vancouver Girls in Gaming & Industry Camp

The first annual "Girls in Gaming" event will cover several significant aspects of the Esports ecosystem including: Professional and collegiate competition, game design, content creation, marketing and player development.

Highlights Include:

  • Overview of the Esports Industry
  • Full tour of the Electronic Arts Campus + EA hosted presentations
  • Meet & greet plus Q&A with professional esports players and Canadian Olympians
  • In-depth advice and guidelines on preparing to play collegiate Esports with Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia Esports Teams
  • Lectures + discussion on building healthy gaming habits, time management, physical training, communication, teamwork and leadership development

SATURDAY, OCT 26

9am: Registration + Welcome from Adamas Esports

10:00-10:45am: Industry & Gaming Presentation Presentation: Brenda Bailey (DigiBC)

12:00-1pm: Lunch + Performance Coaching with Taylor Johnson

1:15-2pm: Industry & Gaming Presentation: Tiffany Beers (Logitech)

2:00-2:45pm: Collegiate Esports Panel: (UBC, SFU, Vancouver Titans)

3:00-4pm: Gaming

Performance Consultant

Taylor Johnson

Taylor Johnson is an esport performance consultant with the vision to promote health and wellness to millions of people worldwide through esports. He's built comprehensive health/wellness/performance initiatives for elite training,research, and education for 5 esports organization, 15 professional teams,developmental academies, and esport training camps.

Taylor consults organizations, teams, players, and startups on how to build strategic programs to enhance all aspects of in-game and out of game performance. He also advises starts up on go to market strategies for their products.

He has both a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and Rehabilitation and a Bachelor’s in Exercise Biology as well as certifications in strength and conditioning training, corrective exercise, nutrition, and sports performance.
