We are pleased to announce The University of Oklahoma Esports Club Camp Featuring: CS:GO. Immerse yourself with top level instruction at this week long digital camp. With curriculum designed for beginners to advanced players, the OU Esports Camps staff guides you through drills and strategies in a fun and competitive environment. The comprehensive training approach provides players with a number of tactics and tools that they can utilize to improve their gaming skills, while building important life skills that extend beyond the game.
Why this camp? Why OU?
The CS:GO Esports program at The University of Oklahoma is a team of committed individuals that have played at extremely high levels in competitive CS:GO. It should also be known that this camp is going to teach players how to function in a team, as Counter Strike is a team esport. Every player is going to learn what leadership, teamwork, responsibility, communication, and self-reflection is during this camp. These skills are essential to improving your gameplay and are applicable to everyday life as well. Just as any sports team relies on these skills, so does esports! The head coach has been coaching for 3 years. Our goal at the OU esports camps is for every player to leave our camp with a better understanding of the game and what it means to be in esports!
What to Expect:
During our CS:GO camp campers develop an improved understanding of mechanics, CS:GO economy, perfecting your aim, utility usage, finding the best angles and positioning, and much more! You’ll refine team play tactics and callouts. Campers learn how to best capitalize on sight lines and perfect their map control, and work on strategies to regain the map when you lose it. You will develop and perfect strategies with coaches & teammates, then test and implement them in games. There will be a tournament with VOD analysis by the OU Esports coaching staff.
The University of Oklahoma CS:GO camp is designed for players of all skill levels looking to take their game to the next level. Camps are for PC players only. Camps sessions are broadcast each day of camp (August 3rd-7th) from 11am-4pm PST/1pm-6pm CST/2pm-7pm EST
Camp is offered through Discord video call and will only be available for those who register. Campers work directly with the coaching staff on all tips, tricks, scrims, and pugs.
Camp will also offer physical exercises & techniques you can use to keep your body in peak performance.

"Our son William absolutely loved it and gained more confidence with his gaming during this week of camp. He really enjoyed spending time with people who had the same level of interest that he has for esports. It also opened his and our eyes to what is involved in playing and/or training for esports."
"I had a super time at the Esports Camp! Lovely to meet so many people IRL, and geek out with our next generation of leaders and changers in the space."
"The gaming was great because I had people to play with and I got to try new things. Our coach(Sidney) was nice and a good coach and got along with everyone and the overnight stay part was ok"
"Apparently his coach helped him with a mistake ritual. I am so thankful as this will help the screaming decrease. Ha! He improved high ground re-takes, game sense and side jumps and I have no idea what any of that means. So thank you!"
"I really improved on my team communication skills. This was my first real competitive experience, and I think it was a lot of fun, and very valuable. I really enjoyed working as a team, and cooperating with others to reach our goal."
"My takeaway from this camp was how health and other activities play a role into video games. I also loved learning from the Cavs coach and what his daily routine is like."
"I learned how to work with my overwatch team much better than I could have without camp."
"This was awesome everybody was very nice and they helped me understand the game better"
"Rambo was very knowledgeable about things you can do outside of the game like stretches and your mindset, not just in the game. My overall gameplay became better because of that."
We are launching camps with some of the best venues, teams, coaches and events around North America. As new dates and locations become available, you will be the first to know.
