We are pleased to announce our Competitive Development Boot Camp, Featuring: Overwatch. Immerse yourself with top level instruction at this week long digital camp. With curriculum designed for beginners to advanced players, the Uptime camp staff guides you through drills and strategies in a fun and competitive environment. The comprehensive training approach provides players with a number of tactics and tools that they can utilize to improve their gaming skills, while building important life skills that extend beyond the game.
During our competitive development boot camp campers develop an improved understanding of hero mechanics, enhance strategy in assault, control, escort, and hybrid, learn hidden abilities, perfect your aiming, and much more! You’ll refine team play tactics and callouts. Campers learn how to best capitalize on sight lines as offensive, defensive, tank and support. Learn the best strategies for each hero on health, armor, and shield. You will develop and perfect strategies with coaches & teammates, then test and implement them in scrims. There will be a tournament with VOD analysis by the Uptime Coaches.
Camp is offered through Discord video call and will only be available for those who register. This camp is designed for PC players only. Campers work directly with the coaching staff on all tips, tricks, scrims, and plugs.
Camp will also offer physical exercises & techniques you can use to keep your body in peak performance.
The Overwatch camp is designed for players of all skill levels looking to take their game to the next level. Camps are for PC players only. Camps sessions are broadcast each day of camp (June 8th-12th) from 11am-1pm PST/1pm-3pmCST/2pm-4pmEST
SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE:
1pm: Warm Up: Hand exercises, word of the day, agenda
1:15pm: Lesson: Mental APM, callouts, team bonding
1:30pm: Drills: hero mechanics, aiming practice, strategic planning
2:00pm: Physical training & exercise
2:15pm: Drills: health, armor, and shield, headshots, map control
2:45pm: Competitive play, incorporating daily lessons, tournament with VOD analysis
3:15pm: Headspace, cool down + dismissal
CAMP HIGHLIGHTS:
Jonathan "reVo" Gargoshian was a six-time North American national esports champion. He has traveled all over the world competing in numerous international championships in Thailand, Indonesia, Russia, and Turkey. With over seven years of experience in the esports scene as both a professional player and coach, reVo has left his mark in each game he competes in. Whether it’s establishing a professional-level roster or developing teams to compete at a high caliber, reVo is tenacious about advancing the esports scene and taking Uptime United players to new heights.
Tony “TuRbii” Schelevitz started his gaming career at a young age, competing in Halo tournaments where he achieved his first LAN win at the age of 16. He continued his gaming career on PC where he attained five national championship titles and represented North America at international championships in Indonesia, Russia, Thailand, and Turkey. With about a decade in music education, TuRbii brings his experience in teaching music and gaming together to help other esports athletes rise through the ranks. You’ll find TuRbii spending most of his game time in Overwatch, Rocket League, and Apex Legends. Besides gaming, he enjoys drumming and hockey.
